Located not far from Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, Carita is the great place to spend week end. Only 2,5 hours by car, you will arrive in this beautiful place.

Besides white beaches behind hundreds of swaying coconut trees, one panoramic highlight is the visibility of the infamous Krakatau Volcano from Carita, rising above the horizon in Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra. There are many activities you can do in this place. You can go swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. Carita beach is clean and children can play white sands. About the food you can try all fresh sea food there. There are variety of fish, prawns, cuttlefish, etc.Usually at hotel or villa we stay provides grill. We can buy all fresh sea food in the traditional market and grill by ourselves. So yummy.

The view of sunshine or sunset you can enjoy it from here. The great of nature could be feel here. And not far from the beach, you can see Mount Krakatau which had great eruption on 1883. This eruption had caused change in global climate. There is also Mount of Anak Krakatau occurred because of the great eruption. This volcano is still active. You can see a little eruption from here.

While you are in the beach, sometimes you meet merchants. They offer you a unique t-shirt and hot pants. They also offer to make temporary tattoo. But if you have sensitive skin, I suggest you not to do that. Sometimes the ink for tattoo make your skin itchy.
